What cryptocurrencies does Metamask support?

As of my last update in January 2022, MetaMask supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies and tokens on the Ethereum network, as well as various other networks like Binance Smart Chain, Polygon (formerly Matic Network), and others. Some of the supported cryptocurrencies and tokens include:

1. Ethereum (ETH)

2. Ethereum-based tokens (ERC-20 tokens)

3. Binance Coin (BNB)

4. Binance Smart Chain-based tokens (BEP-20 tokens)

5. Polygon (MATIC)

6. Polygon-based tokens

7. Bitcoin (through wrapped tokens like WBTC)

12. Tether (USDT) - on various chains (e.g., Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain)
